Spiny giraffe weevils and host plant

I was extremely excited when I found this spiny / spiky version of the more common Cycnotrachelus sp giraffe weevil / long necked beetle a couple of weeks ago.

Edit: this spiny/spiky weaver has been IDed as Hoplapoderus hystrix (Fabricius, 1801). Thanks to Andrei from The leaf-rolling weevils (Coleoptera:  Rhynchitidae, Attelabidae) of the world fauna

Wormlion

I have seen similar pits under the hostel building when I was in Kuching, and again, in Tawau. I thought they were antlion pits at first, but upon investigation, turned out to be something else. Butterflies and rainforest

Like most people, I like butterflies. (Who doesn't?:D). However, while i like them and think they are beautiful, I never really have very high regard for them. So the butterflies pollinate a few flowers, plants and crops, but they are no where as efficient as the bees in this aspect.
